Career Specialist
About Me:
Hello!
My name is Doreen Sizemore, and I am proud to serve as the Career Specialist at Brookland-Cayce High School.
I have been part of the Brookland-Cayce staff since 2016 and took on the role of Career Development Facilitator (CDF) in 2022. I am also a proud parent of three children who are graduates of Lexington Two schools, including Brookland-Cayce High School, and have gone on to earn degrees from Winthrop and Clemson Universities. I know firsthand the value of a strong foundation in education—and I'm passionate about helping your students find their own paths to success.
As the Career Specialist, my mission is to guide students as they discover their career and college aspirations. I help them understand how academics connect to real-world opportunities through personalized educational planning. Together, we explore options through college tours, career speakers, industry field studies, career assessments, and more—opening doors to the many possibilities that lie ahead in our 21st-century workforce.
A little about me: I’m a graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and Barton College in Wilson, NC, where I earned a BS in Communications. I’m also a certified Global Career Development Facilitator. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 36 years, and we have three wonderful children, two beautiful grandchildren, and three lovable furry babies.
I’m incredibly proud to work for Lexington Two and feel honored to be part of the BC family.
