Brookland-Cayce High School JROTC

Welcome to the "Bearcat Barttalion"
Brookland-Cayce High School is a public high school located in Cayce, South Carolina.  Our school has been a symbol of excellence since 1931.  Named for the cities of New Brookland (now West Columbia) and Cayce, the school continues to enrich the lives of many students every year.

The United States Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is on a committed mission to motivate young people to be better citizens.  The US Army JROTC Program has been a part of Lexington School District Two and BCHS since 1992.  Brookland-Cayce cadets have participated in numerous community events throughout the years.  Those events include packing food for the needy and homeless, collaborating with community leaders to make our community better, and competing in various competitions and parades.  The JROTC program utilizes a military structure to teach leadership and responsibility.

Our goal,  as instructors,  is to make each and every cadet better academically, physically, and mentally so that they are prepared for our ever changing world and society.  We will continue to teach, mentor, and challenge our cadets so that they may live up their fullest capabilities and the BCHS motto:  "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve"
