Welcome to ESOL!

Mr. Spigner
My name is Mr. Spigner. I have been an educator for 10 years. My career began as a substitute in Lexington Two at Springdale Elementary before joining the 2014 Summer Cohort of Georgia Teaching Fellows in Atlanta, GA. As a teaching fellow, I taught fifth grade at Woodward Elementary, in DeKalb County--a school that was 98% multilingual learners! From there, my heart for language learners grew, and I have worked with hundreds of students over the course of 8 years. In 2018, I returned to Lexington Two as an ML teacher at Wood Elementary. I officially became a BC Bearcat in the fall of 2020,  and I have loved every second since!

I truly enjoy working with multilingual learners as the lead ESOL teacher here at BCHS. Besides teaching, I am also the Class of 2024 sponsor, and I lead students in the International Club. Teaching is my passion, and I am so glad I get to work with students from so many different backgrounds!
