SC State Fair
Part-time positions open for maintenance staff.  This person would work closely with fair staff to ensure facilities are tidy and functional.  Responsible for basic maintenance and landscaping.  Please see attached job despcription as well as the ADA checklist for physical activities and resquirements, visual acuity and working conditions of the position.

Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands: Be Great Academy
The Be Great Academy powered by Boys & Girls Clubs is an after school and summer program that focuses on providing purposeful, enriching programs to kids in our community. Be Great Academy is looking to fill part time positions for both summer and the 2021-22 school year. We have opportunities for daily work or to be in a substitute pool.  Please see attachment.

LMC Extended Care Nursing Facility
Lexington Medical Center - Extended Care has a wonderful Volunteer Services Department that provides opportunities for the community to share their time, talent, and friendship with our residents. You can volunteer your time in a variety of ways. Some of these volunteer opportunities are listed below:
 
Group Activities: Crafts, Bingo, Games, Trivia, Art Sessions, Religious Worship Services, Dance Programs, Musical Performances, (Choirs, Bands, Pianists, Singers, DJ Karaoke, etc.), Theatrical Performances, Sports, Discussion Groups, Birthday and Holiday Parties, and more.
Individual Activities: Individual Visitation, Pet Therapy, Readers, Bedside Music Therapy, Adopt-a-Grandparent, Seamstress (Afghan Blankets, Handrolls, Neck Pillows, Wheelchair Bags, etc.), and more.
Office & Department Support: Staff Development, Human Resources, Dietary & Nutrition Maintenance, Housekeeping, Administrative, Gift Shop, Hair Salon, Life Enrichment, Marketing, Information Technology, and Social Services.

Lexington Medical Center Partner Program

About Our Partners Program

Lexington Medical Center's summer health career awareness program is sponsored by the caring donors of the LMC Foundation. The program is designed to introduce various departments in the health care industry to enthusiastic, bright high school students, who have a genuine interest in a health care related career. Participants complete three rotations through a variety of clinical areas, learning about various careers including professional and allied health careers such as Radiologic Technologist, Physical Therapist, Surgical Technologist, Nursing, Administration, and other patient support roles.

qualifications:

  • Lexington or Richland County resident or attending a school within one of the Lexington or Richland School Districts or a dependent of a Lexington Medical Center employee.
  • Rising high school senior at the time of application submission.
  • 2.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale.
  • Demonstrate sincere interest in a health care field or working in a hospital setting.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Snelsire, Sawyer, & Robinson Clemson Career Workshop is a summer program designed to support the readiness of high-achieving students from diverse populations to enter college. The Clemson CareerWorkshop enables rising high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to get an inside look into ClemsonUniversity while learning tips and tools needed to prepare for college and beyond. Furthermore, the ClemsonCareer Workshop provides students with exposure to science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), arts and humanities, and social and behavioral sciences.
